  • IEC/BS Standard 12.7-22kV-XLPE Insulated MV Middle Voltage Power Cable

IEC/BS Standard 12.7-22kV-XLPE Insulated MV Middle Voltage Power Cable

Suitable for energy networks such as power stations. For installation in ducts, underground and outdoor.

The cables made to BS6622 and BS7835 are generally supplied with Copper conductors with Class 2 rigid stranding. Single core cables have aluminium wire armour (AWA) to prevent induced current in the armour, whilst the multicore cables have steel wire armour (SWA) providing the mechanical protection. These are round wires that provide over 90% coverage.

Please note: Red outer sheath can be prone to fading when exposed to UV rays.

  • AS/NZS standard 12.7-22kV-XLPE Insulated MV Power Cable

AS/NZS standard 12.7-22kV-XLPE Insulated MV Power Cable

Electricity distribution or sub-transmission networks cable typically used as primary supply to Commercial, Industrial and urban residential networks. Suitable for high fault level systems rated up to 10kA/1sec. Higher fault current rated constructions are available on request.

    Custom designed Medium Voltage cables
For efficiency and longevity, every MV cable should be tailored to the installation but there are times when a truly bespoke cable is needed. Our MV cable experts can work with you to design a solution that matches your requirements. Most commonly, customisations affect the area size of the metallic screen, which can be adjusted to change the short circuit capacity and earthing provisions.

In every case, the technical data is provided to demonstrate suitability and the specification honed for manufacture. All customised solutions are subject to enhanced testing in our MV Cable Testing Facility.

  • IEC/BS Standard 19-33kV-XLPE Insulated MV Middle Voltage Power Cable

IEC/BS Standard 19-33kV-XLPE Insulated MV Middle Voltage Power Cable

Medium voltage cables are manufactured using the monosil process. We provide the highly specialized plant, state-of-the-art research facilities and meticulous quality control procedures that are required for the manufacturing of PVC insulated cables for use up to 6KV and XLPE/EPR insulated cables for use at voltages up to 35 KV. The materials are all kept in cleanliness-controlled conditions throughout the production process in order to ensure the absolute homogeneity of the finished insulation materials.

  • IEC BS Standard 12-20kV-XLPE Insulated PVC sheathed MV Power Cable

IEC BS Standard 12-20kV-XLPE Insulated PVC sheathed MV Power Cable

Suitable for energy networks such as power stations. For installation in ducts, underground and outdoor.

There’s huge variations in construction, standards and the materials used – specifying the correct MV cable for a project is a matter of balancing the performance requirements, installation demands, and environmental challenges, and then ensuring cable, industry, and regulatory compliance. With the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) defining Medium Voltage cables as having a voltage rating of above 1kV up to 100kV that’s a broad voltage range to consider. It’s more common to think as we do in terms of 3.3kV to 35kV, before it becomes high voltage. We can support cable specifications in all voltages.

  • SANS Standard 3.8-6.6kV-XLPE Insulated MV Middle Voltage Power Cable

SANS Standard 3.8-6.6kV-XLPE Insulated MV Middle Voltage Power Cable

  • SANS Standard 6.35-11kV-XLPE Insulated Middle Voltage Power Cable

SANS Standard 6.35-11kV-XLPE Insulated Middle Voltage Power Cable

11kV medium voltage electric power cable with copper conductors, semi-conductive conductor screen, XLPE insulation, semi-conductive insulation screen, copper tape metallic screen, PVC bedding, Aluminium wire armour (AWA) and PVC outer sheath. The cable is suitable for Voltage Rating 6,6 up to 33kV, made to SANS or other National or International Standards

  • SANS Standard 19-33kV-XLPE Insulated Middle Voltage Power Cable

SANS Standard 19-33kV-XLPE Insulated Middle Voltage Power Cable

The 33KV triple core power cable, is just a small part of our medium voltage cable range, it is suitable for power networks, underground, outdoors and installation in cable ducting.

Copper or Aluminium Conductors, single or 3 Core, Armoured or Unarmoured, bedded and served in PVC or non-halogenated material, Voltage Rating 6,6 up to 33kV, made to SANS or other National or International Standards

  • ASTM Standard 15kV-XLPE Insulated MV Middle Voltage Power Cable

ASTM Standard 15kV-XLPE Insulated MV Middle Voltage Power Cable

15kV CU 133% TRXLPE Full Neutral LLDPE Primary used for primary underground distribution in conduit systems suitable for use in wet or dry locations, direct burial, underground duct, and where exposed to sunlight. To be used at 15,000 volts or less and at conductor temperatures not to exceed 90°C for normal operation.

  • IEC/BS Standard 3.8-6.6kV-XLPE Insulated MV Middle Voltage Power Cable

IEC/BS Standard 3.8-6.6kV-XLPE Insulated MV Middle Voltage Power Cable

3.8/6.6kV is a voltage rating more commonly associated with British standards, notably both BS6622 and BS7835 specifications, where applications can benefit from the mechanical protection provided by their aluminium wire or steel wire armour (depending on single core or three core configurations). Such cables would be well suited to fixed installations and providing power to heavy-duty static equipment as their rigid construction limits the bend radius.

Suitable for energy networks such as power stations. For installation in ducts, underground and outdoor.

Please note: Red outer sheath can be prone to fading when exposed to UV rays.

  • ASTM Standard 25kV-XLPE Insulated MV Middle Voltage Power Cable

ASTM Standard 25kV-XLPE Insulated MV Middle Voltage Power Cable
